In the heart of the 1990s, a wave of rebellion and creativity swept through the underground punk scene, giving rise to a vibrant and fiercely independent culture. DIY OR DIE is a new and bold conference showcasing the culture and DIY arts by shining light on those who gave it its voice. This gathering brings together the visions of punk zine creators, artists, and activists. DIY OR DIE is a celebration of the fearless spirit that defined the era, where the mantra "Do It Yourself" wasn't just a slogan but a way of life.
APPROACH
DIY OR DIE is crafted to give the look and feel of the 90's punk zine, while keeping a clear visual theme for speakers and enthusiasts of the scene to navigate their way through the conference. Our method was to create clean and simple signs, posters and navigation points, then add a splash of that timeless punk element to accentuate the only rule about punk DIY...that there are none.
